Problems with Mailsac's Email Forwarding Configuration

Hello Everyone :hugs:,

I’d be grateful for any advice or insight you could provide me with regarding setting up email forwarding on Mailsac.

I’m trying to get set up forwarding of emails for a project right now, but I’m having some trouble fixing a few problems.

The following is a quick summary of my goals:

Goal: I would like to transfer emails sent to my own Gmail account to another email account (such as those obtained at my Mailsac address). This is meant to assist me in better managing communications.

Present Configuration: Emails have not been forwarded as planned, even though I have set up the forwarding settings in the Mailsac dashboard. I have verified that the forwarding address is accurate by checking it twice.

Steps Taken in Troubleshooting:

  • Checked to be sure the forwarding address was entered correctly.
  • Verified that emails aren’t being redirected by looking through the recipient’s account’s spam and trash bins.
  • I checked the Mailsac document to make sure I hadn’t overlooked any setting requirements.
  • Error Messages: The emails aren’t appearing in the recipient’s inbox, but I’m not getting any particular error messages.

I also followed this :point_right: https://support.google.com/mail/thread/131353231/email-forwarding-has-suddenly-stopped-working-despite-no-changes-to-settings?mlops

Has anyone else have comparable problems with Mailsac’s forwarding feature? Are there any typical traps or other settings I ought to be mindful of? Any guidance or troubleshooting pointers would be much valued.

Thank you  in advance.

Hi Andro,

Thanks for reaching out. On the surface I don’t see any problem with forwarding emails from gmail to mailsac. In the Goal section of your post it sounds like you are forwarding from gmail to mailsac. In your Present Configuration it sounds like you configured forwarding on the mailsac platform. To me this indicates you are receiving mail at mailsac and then forwarding to gmail. Could you clarify which direction the forwarding is happening in?
